Khadine's Favorite SKINCARE Products of 2012!

Happy Monday guys!  We're already 2 weeks into 2013, so this blog post is more than overdue...Lol.   I'm sharing all my favorite skincare products from 2012, which is essentially everything I use in my skincare routine (I have combination skin, in case you're wondering)Most of the products are organic and I have to order them online...but I'm looking to find alternatives I can buy in-store to save on shipping costs.  Click below to take a look.....

1. SKIN Naked Face Unscented Wash
(Retail: $14 for 3.5 oz bottle)

I love this face wash!  It's very gentle, has no fragrance...and best of all it's 100% organic.  I purchased it via carenonline.com, a website that sells all organic skincare products.  Please note, everything below from this SKIN Cosmetics line is purchased via the same website....I use quite a few products from SKIN because not only are they organic, but their prices are extremely reasonable.

2. Aveeno Positively Radiant Skin Brightening Daily Scrub
(Retail: Approx. $7)

I don't use this on a daily basis as indicated (most skin experts say exfoliating that much is too harsh on the skin)....but I try to use it at least 3 times a week (when I remember).  Once this tube finishes, I'm switching to an exfoliant that's organic.

3. Evan Healy Rosehip Facial Serum in Rose
(Retail: $25.95)
I believe 2012 was my introduction to facial serums...I never really used them before.  I really liked this Evan Healy Rosehip Serum because I felt it gave my skin a nice, healthy glow (I used it once or twice a day after I washed my face and before I applied my moisturizer).  Around May of last year, I remember feeling pleased with the condition of my skin and somehow attributing it to this product.  I could've been wrong though, because I was doing other things that may have contributed to the overall health of my skin, such as drinking Green Smoothies a few times a week and getting regular facials...plus I had just gotten back from Costa Rica where I had bathed my whole body, including my face, in volcanic mud (which is like a natural spa treatment).  I had gotten a tan in Costa Rica too, which definitely helped to even out my complexion.  So who's to say...

My complexion was pretty clear, save for a few spots here and there.
Anyhow, I recently finished my last bottle of this serum and am looking to try something new.  I now specifically want an anti-oxidant serum....and it has to be organic.  Let me know if you have any suggestions!

4. Neutrogena Oil-Free Moisture SPF 35
(Retail: Approx. $12)
Like many women of color, my skin is prone to hyperpigmentation, so I'm often left with dark spots after my pimples heal.  This makes it even more necessary for me to use sun protection (at least an SPF 30) to prevent the sun from making these issues worse.  You can check out my full review of this moisturizer for more details.

5. SKIN Seaberry Restorarive Face Cream
(Retail: $34 for full size)
I generally use this at night to help give my skin nourishment while I sleep :)...I like it because I usually wake up feeling like my skin is well moisturized.  Works well in the winter when the skin is more dry, but not so much in the summer...it gets to be a little too greasy (for me at least).  I buy the trial size (which costs about 5 or 6 bucks).

6. SKIN Daily Greens Hydrating Repair Cream
(Retail: $34 for full size)

I started using this moisturizer during the summer when it got too hot to use the SKIN Seaberry Restorative Face Cream (which is a much heavier cream).  I like it also because it has a nice, pleasant fragrance unlike a lot of organic products (there are no added synthetic fragrances, that's just the natural smell).  I bought the sample size which was no more than $6.

6. SKIN Apricot-Berry Clay Mask

I almost forgot to include this!  I use this clay mask once a week.  I leave it on for about 10 or 15 minutes then rinse....my skin usually feels softer afterwards.   I think this year I'm going to start using it to exfoliate as well.

What were some of your Favorite Skincare Products?  Do you have any ORGANIC products to recommend?
