Aquaphor to the Rescue!

Raise your hand if you've ever thought you found the perfect lip gloss or lipstick....except for the fact that it does absolutely nothing in the department of moisturizing?  Well, aquaphor should be your new best friend!

First of all, I'm not a huge fan of lipsticks (especially the matte variety).  While they provide a much better color pay-off than lip gloss, lip gloss has the advantage of having color PLUS moisturizing properties ... but not all lip glosses are created equal.  There are some whose only purpose is to shine and look pretty in pink (or whatever color it happens to be).   For those lip glosses--and virtually all lipsticks--aquaphor is the solution.

Think of it as your primer.  Before you put on any form of lip color, whip out your aquaphor and moisturize that bad boy!  Even if you're just at home lounging, or you feel like going bare for the day...make like Diddy and "moisturize your situation"!

I literally have a tube of aquaphor with me at all times, day or night (check my night table).  Due to my slight phobia of dry/chapped lips, my lips must be well moisturized 24/7 (those are just the rules), and aquaphor does a great job of ensuring that.

What do you use to moisturize/prep your lips?  Leave a comment and let me know! :)

  1. My go-to lip primer is simply petroleum jelly. LOL It makes my lips soft and it preps my lips beautifully before I go in with my lip liner and other lip products.

I've heard of Aquaphor but never thought to use it though. I should look into it. I do love lip products hence the name. LOL

  2. I love that name! So cute :)

The active ingredient in Aquaphor is petrolatum, so pretty similar ingredients (except aquaphor is a little less greasy). Thanks for sharing!
